In 2014, after they graduated with degrees in Cultural Social Education and Applied Sciences respectively, they decided to travel to South America to improve their Spanish, whilst working in a locals school and helping the children there. The two Dutch nationals, Kris Kremers (21) and Lisanne Froon (22) met whilst working in a cafe in Amsterdam, and later shared a student house.
